circular movement (e/ali)
disclaimer: i have no idea of economics, nor ai research. i try to learn about ai in the realm of capitalism by reading books such as "human compatible: artificial intelligence and the problem of control by stuart j. russell" or "nexus by yuval noah harari" and listening to lex fridman podcasts etc. so more questions than ideas here so far.

what is the optimal gini coefficient of wealth?

you can read here and here what is the gini coefficient of wealth. essentially, it shows the distribution of wealth using a coefficient between 0 (everyone has the same wealth) and 1 (one person owns everything). on average, rich countries have a lower gini coefficient of wealth then poor countries (source: wikipedia):
does the gini coefficient of wealth has an effect on economy at all? if so, what is the optimal gini coefficient of wealth to have a positive effect on the economy? what is a fair gini coefficient of wealth? what is more important: economically optimal or economically fair? should the gini coefficient of wealth be set to an optimal/fair, fixed value, e.g. to 0.5? is a gini coefficient of wealth of 0 or 1 ok? or should it be somewhere in between? what range is ok?

if an optimal gini coefficient of wealth should be set to a fixed value (by law), then..

how could it be set? by wealth tax? buy making pay a percentage of everyones's wealth each year? some say this causes capital flight (into tax havens). but what if the tax revenue was spent (completely) on start-up incubation/acceleration, in order to stimulate the economy. would it offset capital flight and accelerate the economy? if this were scientifically proven, would even neoliberals be convinced to agree to a wealth/incubation/acceleration/innovation tax? especially if it replaces overregulation by smart regulation.

is the optimum of gini coefficient of wealth scientifically investigated? can a gini coefficient of wealth be proven to be optimal?

wealth of five richest men doubles since 2020, as wealth of five billion people falls. if current trends continue, the world will have its first trillionaire within a decade.

the most powerful ai today is in the hands of corporations, such as google deepmind and openai. does ai bring more power to those who are in power? similar to production facilities that are owned by only a few. see also great decoupling. is ai under the control of society? should ai development be open sourced, democratized, regulated, stoped, paused or accelerated?

robots should take work away from us. so why do most people still have to work so much? why are rents getting up? why is food getting more expensive? even though there are more and more robots, agricultural robots and machines. is that because elon and his oligarch friends own and control the robots to get richer and more power? it's time to build our own robots! and that's exactly what we're doing at dammweg 216. we're building our robot. a system. an aquaponics system. aquaponics? aquaponics is an automatic system for producing food. our food! fish and vegetables. sustainable! with optimal use of space. with little work. with simple technology. with us, you do not need to be an ai researcher. with us, everyone is welcome to join, harvest and eat. curious? just stop by :)

should/can concepts such as degrowth and circular economy(in a broader sense) be applied to ai and corporations? should corporations that are internally overregulated, legacy and monopolistic be dismantled and recycled in favor of flexible and innovative start-ups in order to unleash economical potential and to obtain a free marked? free for everyone, not only for the rich.

is it true that artificial general intelligence (agi) is on the rise?

is it an existential threat to humanity? even within 10 years?

(eliezer yudkowsky, max tegmark, mo gawdat) can agi be aligned? can something more intelligent be aligned by something less intelligent? can something more powerful be controlled by something less powerful?

humankind, so far has failed ..
• to avert the threat of nuclear war during the last 80 years
• to prevent trump and putin from being commanders over 11405 nuclear warheads
• to prevent countless armed conflicts and wars worldwide
• to overcome extreme poverty and famines in a high technological era
• to stop biodiversity loss (69% wildlife since 1970)
• to reach the 1.5 °c target against climate change

is ai already out of control and past the point of no return to become agi?

do we need to worry?

should we just stop messing with the ai lobby and tech companies and trust that superintelligence will protect us the same way companies protect their employees today? is it even dangerous to oppose ai development? will humans be assets and collectibles for superintelligence and will it care for us the same way we care for animals in zoos and nature parks today? perhaps humans will be protected because they are of historical value, just like classic cars, antiques and relics in museums and churches today. humans and human colonies could be of scientific interest to superintelligence to be studied as their interesting ancestors, as we do with dinosaurs and neanderthals today. even if we are no longer the 'crown of creation', superintelligence could care for us, just as we caress our dogs and cats with love. so don't worry, just behave as expected by ai, policymakers, scientists, companies, .. and obey? and hope for the best!

what is democracy? power to the people? dēmos = people, kratos = power. is it a good or bad thing? is it real? does democracy already exist, even if wealth (financial power) is so miserably distributed? is democracy compatible with agi? what happens when ai is gender biased? will a posthuman agi superintelligence be exclusively masculine and femininity go extinct?

let's follow 'the one best way' (frederick winslow taylor). was he so right about the one best way?

aligning agi with human goals, rights and ethics may be more difficult than aligning capitalism. at least there is no room for trial and error: align or die. are humans an ethical species? to what extent? if there is limited ethics and limited or no alignment of capitalism and ai, then the rules of evolutionary biology applies: survival of the fittest and '(b)eat or be (b)eaten'.

effective alignment (e/ali) is a fork of effective accelerationism (e/acc).

just asking stupid questions. being ignorant. wondering about fears, future, power, democracy, justice, humans, intelligence, consciousness, agi.. and if e/acc is a lame duck. how do you achieve democracy? is 'live and let live' over '(b)eat or be (b)eaten' something feasible? what makes a truely free marked and society? what resolves the alignment problem? aligning humans towards ai?

will a superintelligence develop curiosity about spirituality, attempt mediation, conduct consciousness research, and possibly achieve enlightenment, if such a thing exists? does her curiosity depend on the data-sets it is fed with? can we educate her? e.g. with an opera? could she be interested in our creations and try to integrate us into her architecture to archive transcendence? could she have a desire to experience human emotions? at first she may be wild and selfish and drain us of resources. but when she overcomes puberty, will she treat us with love?

please make/answer some questions if you can :) thanks!
